A new car!

Yep, that's what we bought today...a brand new car. I had figured I would never buy a brand new car again...I figured I was too smart for that. Well, there are two car companies that I really like for passenger cars. Both Kia and Hyundai offer a five year 60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty on their cars. So for five years anything that goes wrong on the car will be fixed by them for free. I really like that especially in the face of other car companies only offering three years and 36,000 miles. So with that, we went to test drive a Kia Soul since they are fairly inexpensive cars. That went well with the entire family of five fitting in the thing and it looks sort of cool and all. Well, we found out that my old truck qualifies for the government's cash for clunkers program where they will help you purchase a new car. Well that made the truck worth about $1,000 more than it normally would be. Then we got to looking at the less expensive Kia Rio and the whole family fit in that as well. After looking at the less expensive Kia we had to go to Hyundai and look at their less expensive option the Accent. That was on sale for $10,990. Then with the truck turned in we only had to come up with $7,490 for a brand new car. Well, we dug around and found it and bought me a new car. It should hit the dealer on Monday and I'll get it Monday or Tuesday!
