We were watching a video in church today that illustrated the way a lot of people work with tithing. Rather than paying God first, a lot of people serve all their bills, their hobbies, themselves first and anything leftover was for God. Well, my youngest son, sitting next to me, understood it straight away. he leaned over to tell me that the guy was "being mean to God" and that everything is God's in the first place. If a 6-year-old can figure it out what makes it so difficult for everyone else to understand? Or maybe people are just doing everything they can to ignore it?
