Visiting

Last night I was invited to be a guest speaker at the recovery connection group. It came about after I had the talk with Pastor Dean about my back and what my family and I have gone through and how difficult that was. One of the leaders of the recovery group was speaking with me after that talk at church and I was telling her how I was so excited to be able to come down on all the medications I was on. I was telling her I have to go slowly so it can be done and how hard the first 3-5 days are when I make a med change and all. She thought it would be interesting for the group she leads and asked me to speak.
I'm always looking at myself and my actions and what I can do to be better and looking back on last night I think I could have done a better job. I tried to get the idea across that while God may not miracle our problems or trials away, He does work to help us. My help was provided in the form of my wife. I tried to get that idea across but I don't think I did a good job of it. Should they invite me back for a round 2 I'm sure I can do better!
