Ahhhhh
I was able to fly over the house and wave the wings at the whole family. I also noticed we've had topsoil delivered...more work to get done!
It's fun to see the pastures from the air as well. From the ground, pasture one looks like there is a ton of food in it still and I should leave the animals in it, but from the air I see they have eaten all the good stuff, and there are spots that are getting fairly bare. At our farm, we use managed intensive grazing to give our animals the best food we can and it also helps a ton with the weeds since we mow a pasture behind the animals. Basically in our world of four usable pastures, we run them for a week in each pasture before moving them. Every 18-21 days we get the irrigation water and put the critters in the corral for five days while everything dries out again, so each pasture has a week on then about four weeks off to regrow. While it takes a bit more work, it does good for the critters.
Now I have another excuse to fly! I have to check out the pasture growth from the air!
